Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. A local primary school pupil designed my digital Christmas card above. Each year, instead of physical Christmas cards, I have long donated to local good causes and this year I am donating to the Mayor of Gravesham's two very worthy chosen charities - ellenor and the The Elliott Holmes Memorial Fund.

It is a huge honour to represent Gravesham as your local Labour Member of Parliament.

Since my election my office have been working hard to support many local residents with the many issues they have raised. Owing to the high level of contact I receive every day, we are understandably triaging all contact from residents so that those that are urgent and/or casework based are dealt with first ahead of policy position statements and queries and lastly those from non constituents/companies/organisations.

However, every email, letter and message I and my team receive is read, and will receive a response as soon as is possible (if applicable).

Some key statistics (up until the end of December 2025)

• Since the election in July 2024 over a year ago I have spoken up for Gravesham 103 times in debates in the the House of Commons Chamber or Westminster Hall or in Public Bill Committees.
• Recent contributions to debates in Westminster focused on the Budget, Planning Reform, Local Government Finance, Seafarers, Homelessness, Women in Business, Flytipping, SEND and Cancer.
• I have voted on Divisions (Bills and motions) 348 times since the election
• Since the election my Office and I have had over 19,000 constituent emails that are cases or lobby emails from constituents with many other in addition that are campaigns from organisations or companies or professional lobby groups. Understandably I have prioritised correspondence that is from constituents and from Gravesham
• We have gained over 6,700 Cases and closed over 4,600 Cases
